Adding a Data Type Translation
You can map a data type that is not supported in OneData to a OneData data type. This translation happens while creating objects using Update Schema and Add from Remote.
* To add a data type translation
1. On the Menu toolbar, click Data Interchange > Configuration > Translations > DataType Translation.
2. Click Add New and complete the below fields.
Field
Description
Source Database Type
Select the source database type from the drop down.
Source Data Type (Standard Java)
Select the source data type that needs translation.
If the data type is not listed, specify the data type in the adjacent text field.
OneData Data Type
Select the resultant OneData data type after translation.
OneData Length
Specify the length for the resultant data type.
OneData Precision
Specify the precision for the resultant data type.
3. Click Save.
