Creating Passive Constraints
Passive constraint allows you to configure foreign key relationships to limit data entry to only valid combinations. For information about the structure details of passive constraints, see Passive Constraints.
To configure a passive constraint, you must first configure the related object.
* To create passive constraint
1. On the Menu toolbar, click Define > Objects and select the object in which you want to create the passive constraint.
2. Click Structure tab.
3. Click Edit Constraints.
4. Click Add new Foreign Key Constraint.
5. Select the related table in Related Table Name.
6. Select the check box for Passive Constraint.
7. Select the Related Column Description.
8. Under Display Options, select Show as lookup with description as textbox.
9. Select the columns to map in the related object.
10. Click Save.
