OneData Functions
OneData is a tool for managing data tables, records, and relationships among tables. OneData provides different ways to synthesize, aggregate, and display data, known as objects. These objects can be configured to display a view of records from several tables, hierarchical relationships, or a simple flat table structure. Objects have associated physical attributes and structure and contain data values for users to manage, report and view.
All data in the OneData repository is stored in objects, and all objects are located in folders. In database terms, an object may be a physical database table, part of a table, or composed of several tables. Folders are thus used to organize objects in a hierarchical manner, and can also be used as a means to classify or group entities into subject areas or dimensions.
