SQL And, Or, and Where Queries
When performing a record search, you can enter values in a single or multiple columns. When entering search values in multiple fields, you can create an and or an or search:
*An and search returns only those records that meet all the search criteria specified in the fields in which you entered search values. For example, if you entered a value in fields AB, BC, and CD, OneData would return only records that matched the value in AB and BC and CD (all three matches are in every record in the search results). This is the default search option.
*An or search returns records that meet any of the search criteria specified in the fields in which you specified search values. For example, specifying a filter in fields AB, BC, and CD returns records that match any of the columns specified, not necessarily a match in all three columns for a record. To perform an or search, you must use an SQL where query in the Explicit “Where” Clause field.
*Create a complex query or an or search by entering an SQL search in Explicit “Where” Clause field. (SQL searches are not available in Default mode.)
