Defining Interchange Mappings to Load Data from External Sources to the Consolidation (Staging) Object
The procedure provided in this section describes how to use an Interchange Mapping of Remote Database type. You use can use the same procedure to define Interchange Mappings to load data from other data sources into the Consolidation (Staging) Object, CDI_StagingObject.
1. On the Menu toolbar, click Data Interchange > Configuration > Interchange Mapping.
2. Click Add New Mapping.
3. Define the mapping details as follows:
a. In the Interchange Mapping Source Information, define the following fields:

Mapping Type
Select the source as remote database.
Connection
STG [TRILLIUM_STG]
Schema
TRILLIUM_STG
Entity
DATA_SOURCE2STAGING
b. In Object Mapping, Object List, select the data object, CDI_StagingObject.
c. Click Next.
4. Assign an alternate primary key if needed. Click Next.
5. Complete the Profile Name and Profile Description and map the source and destination attributes.
6. Click Save.
7. Click the Edit icon corresponding to the new interchange mapping, IM_Source2Staging.
8. In Processing Options, enable External DQ Mode.
9. Click Save.
10. To view the data in the tables, click the shortcut on the Command toolbar, Go To Data Manager.
