webMethods, OneData, and Terracotta  10.2 | Managing Master Data with webMethods OneData | Implementing webMethods OneData | Objects in OneData | Object Definition Properties

Object Definition Properties
The following table describes the object definition properties.
Object Definition Properties
Property
Description
Name
The name of the object. Object names must be unique within the object type selected.
Definition
Description of the object.
Display Name
Custom name for objects. If you do not provide an entry here, OneData uses the Name as the custom name by default.
Owner/Steward
User who receives notifications for all changes associated with this object.
Click the Select A User icon to view a list of users. Click the user name to set the value or search for a user by entering the filter criteria and clicking the Search icon. Click the Clear Values to clear the user selection.
XML Element Name
By default, the physical table name. However, you can change this to a name of your choice to be prefixed to the object's column names when generating the XML schema in Data Manager and RESTful GET output, and handling of REST POST input.
Note: onedata.webservice.rest.objectNamePrefixedInXSD must be set to 1 to enable this functionality.
For details on the onedata.webservice.rest.objectNamePrefixedInXSD global property, see the Administering webMethods OneData.
Skip Initial Filter Tab
Whether to skip the filter tab in Data manager. This property is ignored if any column in the object has the Show in Filter? property set as Required in Filter.
Show in Change Request
Whether to show the object as a request object in the Change Request Object selection drop down.
Object Type
Type of object.
Object Subtype
Subtype of the object. Applicable only to Definition Object and Data Object.
Additional Qualifiers
Sets additional properties in the object.
*Consolidation Object. Consolidation Staging object.
*Consolidation Gold Object. Consolidation Gold object. For information about the consolidation process, see webMethods OneData Consolidation MDM Guide.
*Single cardinality relationship. Sets cardinality in network recursive conceptual objects.
*Sox-Compliant. SOX-compliant object.
*Skip default 'as of date' (Temporal): Clears the date in Show “as of date” records in Filter Options of temporal objects. By default, the date in the filter is the current date.
*Multiple tree path traversal (Tree). Defaults to multiple path navigation for a conceptual object in Nova mode, with the view type set as tree. In multiple path traversals, all nodes display during navigation through a child node.
*Eager Metadata Load. Caches the data object when the application starts, to improve performance and reduce calls to the database. This caches the metadata structure, the row filter, and personalization settings.
Note: To use this property, ensure that the required variables are configured in the OneData properties file. For more information, see Administering webMethods OneData.
*Network Recursive Type (Conceptual Object). Detects whether a conceptual object is network recursive and checks if all the mandatory constraints are defined (primary network recursive and secondary network recursive).
*Individual Temporal Level (Temporal): Skips the parent and child temporal validation in a temporal object.
*Rewind in Workflow (Conceptual Object): Enable the existing workflow transaction to be rewound to the required level as per the workflow rule.
*Skip Add Privileges Check In Data Manager Drop-Down. Skips a security check that the user has permission to insert a record into the reference table. Used to improve performance when loading reference fields in Nova mode.
Physical Table
The name of the physical database table or view corresponding to the object. Applicable only for definition and data objects.
Data Entry URL
Direct URL to the object. Useful for integrating access to OneData data from external applications. Applicable only for definition and data objects.
Read Only
Sets the object as read-only for all users, regardless of assigned security privileges. Applicable only for data and remote objects.
Enable Workflow E-mail
Whether to enable notifications on workflow and change requests associated with the object.
Workflow Triggering Mode
Determines the workflow triggering action. Default mode is Auto.
Mode
Object display mode:
*Default: Default mode of the object.
*Nova: Provides additional functionality to default mode.
*Nova-Echo: Provides inline editing in Data Manager.
*Flex: Provides improved user interface features.
For more information on the mode related changes in data manager, see webMethods OneData User’s Guide.
Skip Row Count
Determines whether the pagination mode for records is previous/next or scrolling. Applicable only for data, remote, and remotely hosted objects in Nova and Nova-Echo mode.
Hide in ODA List
Determines whether the object is hidden in the Load Object field when tabbed browsing is enabled in OneData Anywhere. By default, the object is displayed.
Destination Systems
The systems that use the object. This enables entity-level redundancy control.
Custodian System
The custodian systems associated with the object.
Logical Object
The logical object that maps to this logical object. This is used to map multiple physical entities to one logical object.
Report Header
The header that displays in the summary report in Delivery Options.
Report Footer
The footer that displays in the summary report in Delivery Options.
Data Validation Script
Enforces exclusion characters and other rules on data entry. Use Python scripting language.
Validation Script Error Message
Error message displayed to the user when an exception is encountered.
Implicit Filter
Filter criteria to enforce when the user accesses the object in Data Manager.
Template
Applies a definition template to capture additional processes and metadata about the object. If a template selected, additional attributes appear for an authorized user to complete.
