Messaging Active Users
You can view all the active user sessions and send a message to active users through the Session Console. This feature requires that Disable Broadcast Messaging in the system properties is not selected. For information about setting the system properties, see OneData System Properties.
* To message active users
1. On the Menu toolbar, click Administer > System > System Consoles > Session Console.
2. On the Open Sessions for Current Repository screen, click the Send Message icon corresponding to the user to whom you want to send a message.
3. Complete the Subject and Message in the Broadcast Message dialog box and click Send.
OneData sends a broadcast message to the selected user. When the user logs in, the Message icon on the toolbar blinks indicating a new message.
