Failover servers
Only one cache server actively communicates with the nodes' caches at any moment in time. All configured failover servers run in standby mode. If the primary server goes down, the first failover server takes the role of a primary server and all subsequent communication are redirected to it. Since data is not replicated to standby servers, cache of the new primary server is empty; however, OneData operations are not disrupted during the switch. Once the original primary server becomes again available, it replaces the current primary server.
Software AG recommends that you restart cache server(s) when you restart OneData to ensure against serving stale cached metadata.
