Variable Conversion When Applying a Page Template
When you use a custom page template in an OpenUI Shell page project, Designer replaces certain variables if the variables are found in the template or in a text-based static resource linked to the template. The following tables shows which variables are replaced under which conditions, and a description of the value of each variable.

The name of the target project converted to a valid identifier.
${project_type}
Values are:
*war
*jar
Designer replaces the following variables while processing page template files or linked resources to a page template.

${page_filename}
The filename of the page.
${page_purpose}
Values are:
*shell
*login
*maintenance
${page_appFolderAlias}
The alias of the custom application folder.
${page_applicationName}
The name of the custom application.
${page_shellAlias}
The alias of the page shell.
${page_shellName}
The name of the page shell.
${page_webRelativeFileName}
The page filename as a relative path.
${page_parentShellAlias}
The alias of the parent shell.
${page_createFolder}
Values are:
*true
*false
Designer replaces the following variables when creating a new page.

${page_newFolderParentAlias}
The alias of the parent folder under which the new folder is created.
${page_newFolderName}
The name of the new root folder created for the custom application.
Designer replaces the following variables when creating a new webspace.
Variable

${page_createWebSpace}
Values are:
*true
*false
${page_newWebSpaceAlias}
The webspace alias for the custom application.
Designer replaces the following variables when no new page is created.

${page_existingFolderAlias}
The alias of the existing thing with which the shell is associated.
