Adding an Access Profile
You can create an access profile for a user by providing the basic information, functional privileges, and group information.
* To create an access profile
1. Select Username > User Management.
2. Select Access profiles.
3. Click Add access profile.
The Access profile details tab appears.
4. Add the following basic information for the access profile:

Name of the access profile.
Description
A description for the access profile.
5. Click Continue to assign Functional privileges >.
6. Select from the following functional privileges to create an access profile based on your requirements:

Manage APIs
To create and manage APIs.
Manage applications
To create and manage applications and register applications with the APIs. You cannot modify or delete an application if you are not the owner of the application.
Manage global policies
To apply a global policy to all APIs or the selected set of APIs.
Manage policy templates
To apply one or more policy templates to an API.
Manage packages and plans
To create packages and plans, associate a plan with a package, and associate APIs with a package. In addition, you can view the list of packages, package details, APIs, and plans associated with the package.
Publish to API Portal
To publish assets to API Portal.
Export assets
To export assets to your local system.
Manage general administration configurations
To create and manage administration configurations.
Manage destination configurations
To publish events and performance metrics data to the configured destinations.
Manage user administration
To create and manage users.
Execute service result cache APIs
To manage caching of the results of API invocations depending on the caching criteria defined.
Activate/Deactivate APIs
To activate, deactivate and manage APIs.
Manage aliases
To create and manage aliases.
Activate/Deactivate global policies
To activate, deactivate, and manage global policies.
Manage threat protection
To prevent malicious attacks on applications that typically involve large, recursive payloads, and SQL injections.
Activate/Deactivate packages
To activate, deactivate, and manage packages.
Import assets
To import already exported APIs, application, policies, and aliases by selecting, <Username> > Import in API Gateway.
View administration configurations
To view administration configurations.
Manage security configurations
To create and manage security configurations.
Manage system settings
To create and manage system settings.
Manage purge and restore runtime event
To purge and restore events from the API Gateway store by setting the required date or duration in the API Gateway.
Click Save to save the group details at this stage and provide the group information for the access profile at a later time.
Note: If you want a user to only view the assets and not create, modify, or delete an asset; you can associate an access profile to a user group including that user without selecting any of the functional privileges.
7. Click Continue to associate Groups>.
Alternatively, you can click Groups to go to the Groups section and associate a local or LDAP group to the access profile.
Note: To allow a user to access API Gateway, you must associate the group that includes the user to an access profile.
8. Provide the group name in the Name field to associate the access profile to the group.
You can search groups based on the characters provided in group name. Select the required group from the list displayed.
9. Click Save.
