Upgrade from 9.12 or Later: Migrate Using the Migration Utility
This migration utility runs without prompting for any information. If an error occurs, the utility exits. The utility does not revert the new product installation. You can address the issue and rerun the utility.
On each machine that hosts a new Optimize Analytic Engine or Web Service Data Collector, open a command window or shell, go to the new_Software AG_directory/optimize/analysis/bin/migrate directory or new_Software AG_directory/optimize/dataCollector/bin/migrate directory , and run the command below. For the migrateold_releasesbs.dat file, specify old_release without periods (for example, 912, or 1030).
migrate.{bat|sh}
{-srcDir|-srcFile} full_path_to_{old_Software AG_directory|ZIP_file}
-importFile migrateold_releasesbs.dat
-silent true
Note:
Since the migration utility does not interact with the Central Configurator System database used by My webMethods Server, your migrated configuration will be visible only in Command Central.
If your new Optimize installation is located on a different machine than your old Optimize installation, you will need to update your Analytic Engine and Web Service Data Collector configurations. See the Configuring BAM guide for detailed instructions on how to configure Analytic Engine and Web Service Data Collector from Command Central.
