Support for the legacy CAF portlet .view file format is replaced by the default JSF 2.x xhtml files for new projects.

Default support for JSF 2.x xhtml Facelet Templates in new CAF/Task projects - all new portlet applications created with Composite Applications Development now support JSF 2.x xhtml Facelets by default. New portlet view files are generated with a default .xhtml extension, instead of .view extension. You can create legacy .view files by specifying the file name extension explicitly.
