Designer does not display the memory heap status monitor on the status bar after it is launched.
Enable the “Show heap status” option in Designer under 'Window > Preferences > General'.
The issue is now resolved.

Designer does not display the resources properly when the Projects Presentation view is changed from Hierarchical to Flat under Project Explorer.
Press the F5 key to refresh the resources or hover over the project tree to view the resources.
The issue is now resolved.
