When you install products from the installer (not through an image of script) and when you create an installation image, the installer downloads the products from Empower. If you already have existing images that contain some of the products you want to install or include in the new image, you can improve performance by identifying the existing images to the installer. The installer will retrieve those products from the existing images rather than download them from Empower.

You can specify any existing image that contains the products you want. It does not matter which operating systems the image was created for.
