Migrate Data and Configurations
1. MashZone NextGen Explorer stores its data, including data source descriptions of deployed data sources, analyses, and projects, in its registry in the SoftwareAG_directory/MashZoneNG/VisualAnalytics/data directory. The files used to deploy data sources and the corresponding .vsd data source description files created by MashZone NextGen Explorer are also stored in that directory. To migrate both, copy the old_SoftwareAG_directory/MashZoneNG/VisualAnalytics/data directory over the same directory in the new installation.
2. If you are migrating data from one MashZone NextGen Explorer 10.1 to another (for example, for a data center move), copy the old_SoftwareAG_directory/MashZoneNG/VisualAnalytics/config directory over the same directory in the new installation. Then modify the copied configuration as necessary.
3. Migrate data for the embedded Spark by copying the old_SoftwareAG_directory/MashZoneNG/VisualAnalytics/va-sjs/config directory over the same directory in the new installation.
4. If you are migrating data from one MashZone NextGen Explorer 10.1 to another, migrate the data for the embedded Kafka as follows:
a. Go to the old_SoftwareAG_directory/MashZoneNG/VisualAnalytics/va-kafka directory.
b. Copy the data directory over the same directory in the new installation.
c. Copy the config directory over the same directory in the new installation.
d. Modify the copied configurations as necessary.
