Display Values. This is the default view of the Values tab that is displayed when you enter the tab. From the Values tab, you can access screens to edit, insert, and copy records. Some views may not be available while you are within another view, but the Display Values view is always accessible.

Insert. The Insert menu allows users to insert one or multiple records. To add a new value, click Insert or Insert Multiple. Insert Multiple is available only for data objects, not conceptual objects.

Edit. From the Edit menu, users can edit multiple records, copy a record, perform a bulk update, or search and replace records. To edit a single record, click the Edit icon corresponding to the record. This option is not visible if the user does not have the security privilege to edit records.

Edit Multiple. To edit several records at a time, select the check boxes corresponding to the records, and then click Edit > Edit Multiple on the Command toolbar. If no records are selected, OneData displays all the records when you click Edit > Edit Multiple. The number of records that display per page is determined by the value of the Maximum Number of rows property set in Personalize > Preferences. If this field is less than the number of records selected, OneData displays a warning to select fewer records. For more information see webMethods OneData User’s Guide.

Copy. Copies an existing record. Select the check box corresponding to the record you want to copy. For conceptual objects, if viewing the root level object, only the root level row is copied; subordinate child records are not copied.

Update Bulk. Update values in several records simultaneously. For example, you can enter a value in a column and populate that value in multiple records. The types of updates depend on the data type of the column, for example, to nullify fields, add suffixes or prefixes, and pad values to the left or right (LPAD, RPAD).

Search & Replace. Search for and replace the value in a specified column. This feature is also available for conceptual objects defined with advanced parent-child view.

Delete. Delete one record or several at a time. A record is deleted “logically” or pseudo-deleted, meaning that the record remains in the Registry, but is not visible to users through the interface. Logically deleted records may be undeleted using Restore feature, or physically deleted using Purge.

Delete. To delete one record, select the Delete icon corresponding to the record or select the check boxes corresponding to multiple records and click Delete > Delete on the Command toolbar.

Restore. If you have the security privilege to delete and restore records, click Restore to undelete logically deleted records. Using the Restore command changes the Creation Date audit column to the same date as the Last Updated Date audit column in the work area.

Purge. Physically delete the records that were logically deleted. OneData displays the logically deleted records available to be purged, from which you can select individual records to purge. Purged records are permanently deleted.

View. View the current filter settings, data hierarchy, and the audit trail.

Filter Settings. To view the current filter settings specified in the Filter tab, click View > Filter Settings on the Menu toolbar.

Data Hierarchy. A graphical viewer (applet based) that displays all parent/ child entities with specific values that are related to the selected record.

Audit Trail. This option (similar to the Data Audit log if no records are selected), displays all transactions for the selected object. For information on logs, see Administering webMethods OneData. If a record is selected, Data Audit displays the data audit for that particular record only.

Import. Add to the entity from another database or a file. Other import features are available as documented in Administering webMethods OneData.

Linkages. Provides an user interface to map entities related in a many-to-many relationship, for example, to map standard codes to system-specific codes. The mapping grid can also be exported to Excel. A Linkages column can be created in conjunction with a multi-select construct. Select Command. Displays hooks that are associated with an object. Command hooks are used in Registration and Administration status changes and version creation. Execute any hook associated with the object from the command field. For information on hooks, see hook definition information in Administering webMethods OneData.

Delivery Options. Print, email, or export the retrieved records to Excel. With the summary report, you can print to HTML, PDF, or Excel the high-level details for complex objects.

Sort. Single and multiple-column sorting of values is available in the data grid. To sort records in ascending order, click the title of the column. Click the title again to change the sort to descending order. For sort on multiple columns (for example, sort first by Item Type and then by Name), click the column titles in the order in which you want to sort them. Respond to the system prompt to add the sort to the existing sort or start a new sort. A sort number and symbol displays in the column titles used in the sort.
