Configure MashZone NextGen Server Connections in SharePoint 2010
MashZone NextGen Add-On for SharePoint (P4S) allows you to connect multiple MashZone NextGen Servers to many SharePoint sites and site collections, based on your P4S license. After a connection is configured in both SharePoint and MashZone NextGen, users can publish mashups and apps to SharePoint as native Web Parts. Users can also use information from SharePoint as mashable information sources in MashZone NextGen for mashups or apps.
For each connection, the visibility of the mashups and apps hosted in a MashZone NextGen Server within SharePoint and the visibility of SharePoint information within a MashZone NextGen Server is based on:
*Where your define the connections in SharePoint.
Farm administrators or site administrators can configure MashZone NextGen Server connections to farms, site collections or individual sites. You can also define Duplicate Connections to MashZone NextGen Servers if needed.
Users who publish apps or mashups to Web Parts in SharePoint can also override the default connections for a specific Web Part. This ensures that users can control settings at a granular level if needed. For more information about overriding MashZone NextGen Server connections in Web Parts, see Update Mashup Web Part Properties and Update App Web Part Properties.
*How connections to SharePoint are defined in the MashZone NextGen Server.
For a discussion of the common patterns for configuring connections between SharePoint and MashZone NextGen Servers, see Configure MashZone NextGen Connections to SharePoint.
Then Add a MashZone NextGen Server Connection to SharePoint or Edit a MashZone NextGen Server Connection as needed.
