Cloning a Role
Cloning a role creates a copy of an existing role, including its associated privileges, but does not copy users assigned to the original role. Roles can also include a row filter definition, which restricts the user to row-level privileges for specific data values in objects.
Note: | Any row filter privileges set at the user level override row filter privileges set at the role level. |
To clone a role
1. On the Menu toolbar, click Administer > Security > Roles.
2. Click the Clone icon corresponding to the role that you want to edit.
3. Define the role properties. For information about defining the role properties, see the table, User Role Properties. 4. Click Save.
