Service Development Help : Working with REST : Configuring a REST Resource Using the URL Template-Based Approach : Deleting a REST Resource for a Service
Deleting a REST Resource for a Service
For a service, deleting a REST resource also removes the specified URL format and the corresponding HTTP methods. Therefore, ensure that any subsequent client request to Integration Server is not in the URL format associated with the deleted REST resource because such a request will fail.
To delete a REST resource for a service
1. In the Package Navigator view of Designer, click the service for which you delete a REST resource and select File > Properties > REST Resource Configuration.
2. On the REST Resource configuration page, select the configuration to delete, and click .
3. In the Delete Confirmation dialog box, click OK.
Designer removes the selected resource with the corresponding REST URL and HTTP methods, and displays a confirmation message. The changes are also reflected on the REST Resource Configuration page.
Notes:
*If you delete the service that a REST resource refers to, the REST resource is deleted and the associated URL format does not work.
*If you disable the package containing the REST resource, the resource becomes unavailable. Therefore, the URL format associated with the REST resource will not work.
