You use the elements in the cache folder to place data in a cache and retrieve it again later. You can also use the services in the cache folder to perform administrative operations such as enabling, disabling, and clearing a cache, or to implement checkpoint restart in services you write. Integration Server uses Ehcache internally for all of the services in the cache folder.
