Application Integration (On-Premises) : Incorporating web applications : Incorporating Web Applications into Integration Server : What Do I Need to Deploy Web Applications? : About the Deployment Descriptor File
About the Deployment Descriptor File
The deployment descriptor file contains configuration settings for a web application (for example, defining /servlet as an invoke path for servlets, identifying “.jsp” as a file extension for JSPs, and specifying security constraints). Integration Server provides a global deployment descriptor file that defines the configuration settings for all web applications that run within the Integration Server environment. The global deployment descriptor file, named web.xml, resides in the Integration Server_directory \instances\instance_name\web\conf directory.
If you want to override the default Integration Server web application settings or use the webMethods tag library, you can create your own deployment descriptor file within a web application. For information about overriding the default Integration Server web application security, see About Securing the Web Application.
