Creating a Business Rule to Invoke a Process
To invoke a business process from an AgileApps Cloud case, you create a business rule in AgileApps Cloud that executes a business process when a case is created.
To create a business rule in AgileApps Cloud
1. Go to Gear Icon > Business Rules.
2. In the On Record field, select Created.
3. Click New Rule and specify or select values for the fields as follows:
Field | Value |
Name | Type a name for the rule. |
Select Action | Select Execute BPM Process. |
Select IS Config | Select an Integration Server to which to connect. |
Select Process Model | Select a process model that is currently available on Integration Server. |
Select Start Document | Select a start document to trigger the BPM process. |
4. Click Outgoing Map and map the fields.
5. Click Incoming Map and map the fields.
6. Save the business rule.
With the rule in place, when you create a case in AgileApps Cloud, the case automatically starts a process in Process Engine. You can monitor the process instance in Business Console or in My webMethods by going to Applications > Monitoring > Business > Process Instances.
