Agile Process : Understanding Agile Process : Configuring the Case-to-Process Environment : Creating a Business Rule to Invoke a Process
Creating a Business Rule to Invoke a Process
To invoke a business process from an AgileApps Cloud case, you create a business rule in AgileApps Cloud that executes a business process when a case is created.
To create a business rule in AgileApps Cloud
1. Go to Gear Icon > Business Rules.
2. In the On Record field, select Created.
3. Click New Rule and specify or select values for the fields as follows:
Field
Value
Name
Type a name for the rule.
Select Action
Select Execute BPM Process.
Select IS Config
Select an Integration Server to which to connect.
Select Process Model
Select a process model that is currently available on Integration Server.
Select Start Document
Select a start document to trigger the BPM process.
4. Click Outgoing Map and map the fields.
5. Click Incoming Map and map the fields.
6. Save the business rule.
With the rule in place, when you create a case in AgileApps Cloud, the case automatically starts a process in Process Engine. You can monitor the process instance in Business Console or in My webMethods by going to Applications > Monitoring > Business > Process Instances.
