An annotation can be associated with one or more process steps using an annotation link (a dotted line). Like notes, annotations are saved with the process, their content is searchable, and they are included in generated HTML Documentation Reports. Annotations can be moved around the canvas, but they cannot be resized like a step or note. You must edit the text by adding line breaks to change the shape of the text area.Important: | A step and its connected annotation must be located in the same pool to maintain the association between them. |
Tip: | Notes and annotations are not top-level process entities; they are members of their parent entities. For example, if an annotation is in a pool, it is a member of the pool. If an annotation is in a subprocess, it is a member of the subprocess. If you delete the parent, you also delete the annotation. |
