Business analysts and developers create business process models and task types in Software AG Designer. When these process models and task types are ready for deployment, they are published to their respective run-time environments, establishing a publisher/consumer relationship between Software AG Designer and the runtime environments.

Task Engine uses the published task types to create individual task instances as business operations require. Each time you republish or redeploy a task type, the existing task type is overwritten with the modified contents of the republished task type.
