This option specifies the number of times the
Task Engine attempts to re-deliver a task completion event to the
Integration Server that hosts the
Process Engine. For example, when a transport failure occurs between
Task Engine and
Integration Server (
Integration Server is off-line or there are network problems) and a task is completed, the attempt to deliver the completion event to
Integration Server fails. The
Task Engine attempts to re-deliver the completion event until the specified number of attempts is reached. If the
Task Engine is unable to deliver the completion event after the specified number of attempts, it places the task into an error state with an appropriate error code. When connectivity between the
Task Engine and
Integration Server is restored, you can re-submit the task completion event by manually changing the task status back to Active and then to Completed. To change the interval between re-delivery attempts, see
Completed Task Re-Delivery Interval.
The default value is 30.
