Two-Week Business Process Sigma Tab
The Two-Week Business Process Sigma tab located below the Business Process Sigma tab displays Pareto charts indicating the importance of different items in contributing to rule violations. Optimize groups contributing factors on each chart and lists them from highest contributor on the left to the lowest on the right.
Optimize displays Pareto charts for each of the groups of contributing factors.
The following table describes the groups of contributing factors.
Group | Meaning |
Business Process | Indicates which business processes had the greatest number of violations. |
Rule | Indicates which rules had the greatest number of violations. |
Infrastructure | Indicates which hardware was associated with the greatest number of violations. |
KPI | Indicates which KPI was associated with the greatest number of violations. |
Day of Week | Indicates the day on which the greatest number of violations occurred. |
Time of Day | Indicates the hour in which the greatest number of violations occurred. |
The Pareto charts use the following conventions:
Number of times out of compliance: Each gray bar on the charts represents a business process, rule, KPI, infrastructure component, day of week, or time of day. The vertical axis to the left of the chart indicates the number of times that items within that group violated a rule.
Percent contribution to rule violations: The orange line on each chart shows the rule violations for the relevant item, expressed as a cumulative percentage. For example, in the Business Process chart, if the first process caused 65 percent of the rule violations, the orange line shows 65 percent above the first bar. If the second process caused 25 percent of the rule violations, the orange line shows 90 percent above the second bar (65 percent plus 25 percent).
The Pareto charts on this page show how important each component is in contributing to rule violations. Contributing factors are grouped together and listed from highest number of contributors on the left, and lowest on the right. This allows you to gauge the improvement of your business processes over the course of time, and ensure that you are continuing to improve the quality of those processes.
Roll your mouse over the bars and lines on the chart to view their details. Where there is no data available, a gray graph with the text No Data is displayed.
