A referenced process is a separate process that displays as a step within another process. Unlike a subprocess, a referenced process is self-contained. It can run on its own.

On the Process Analytics page, a referenced process displays as an icon. Unlike a subprocess container, a referenced process cannot be expanded on the Process Analytics page. To display the referenced process on the Process Analytics page, select the referenced subprocess from the "Select a Process" drop down list.
