Mapping Events
When you configure Optimize KPIs, you must map incoming events to data types in Optimize. Event mappings identify business data elements, such as dimensional data and numeric data (measures), which can be used by Optimize analytics.
Optimize works with MAPI events and EDA (deprecated) events. EDA (deprecated) events are produced by Software AG products that use Event Routing (deprecated). Note that if you want Optimize to work with EDA (deprecated) events, you must specifically subscribe to them on the Event Subscription page.
Important:
When Analytic Engine runs in Static DB Schema mode, you cannot create, edit, or delete dimensions, event maps, dimension hierarchies or KPI definitions. In addition, all respective buttons in the user interface will be unavailable. For more information about enabling and disabling Static DB Schema mode for the Analytic Engine, see Configuring BAM.
