Generating a Shared Secret for Multi-Factor Authentication
When your organization enables multi-factor authentication for My webMethods with a time-based one-time password, you must generate a shared secret for your user profile and register it with the one-time password service or authenticator application.
*To generate a shared secret:
1. In My webMethods, click My Profile.
2. On the User Profile tab of the User Attributes section, click Generate Shared Secret.
My webMethods sends an e-mail with the shared secret to the e-mail address configured for your user profile. For information about how to register the shared secret with the password provider service or application, see the instructions provided by your organization or the authenticator documentation.
