Configuring SSL for Event Persistence
You can persist events over Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) when you use Elasticsearch as the storage technology. To persist events over SSL, you must perform the following steps at a high level:
1. Before you can persist events to Elasticsearch over SSL, you must enable SSL for your Elasticsearch storage engine and have the Search Guard plugin installed for Elasticsearch. For more information about how to install and configure SSL for Elasticsearch, see the Elasticsearch documentation. For information about using the Search Guard plugin, see the Search Guard plugin documentation.
2. Configure your Event Persistence service of type Elasticsearch to use SSL. For more information about how to configure the service to persist events over SSL, see Creating Event Persistence Services for Elasticsearch.
