This document describes how to install and configure the EntireX Adapter and is intended for system administrators. It covers the following topics:
There are three kinds of prerequisites:
The EntireX Workbench, version 8.2.2.52 (or higher) or 9.0 must be installed. It is part of the Software AG Designer.
webMethods Integration Server 8.2 or 9.0 running on any of the supported operating systems. See https://empower.softwareag.com/Products/Documentation/default.asp under "webMethods" > "webMethods Product Suite" > "Documentation by Product" > "Integration Server" > "System Requirements" (pdf).
Starting with EntireX Adapter 9.0, Java 6 or Java 7 is required to run Integration Server with the EntireX Adapter.
To install the EntireX Adapter into a webMethods Integration Server, use the Software AG Installer. For further information see Software AG Installation Guide.
To use connections to IMS Connect, CICS ECI or Direct RPC, you need a license file for the EntireX Adapter.
To use connections to IMS Connect, CICS ECI, or Direct RPC
Copy the license file (default name: exx90.xml) to a safe folder. The package WmEntireX is not a safe folder. The Integration Server deletes the license file on update.
Change the location of the license file in the License Information Screen in the Adapter Administration GUI (see License Information).
The EntireX Adapter for IS does not assume that the EntireX Mini Runtime is installed. Installing the EntireX Adapter on the Integration Server is all that is required on the machine of the Integration Server.
All adapter connections and other objects generated with version 8.2 are usable with version 9.0. With version 9.0 reliable listeners require that the Listener Notification is enabled. The license file for version 8.2 is also valid for version 9.0.
