Building an EntireX Docker Image

EntireX provides the following methods of building a Docker image and running the Docker container:

Using Scripts provided by EntireX

With scripts provided by EntireX you can build a Docker image for the following components:

This is described in detail in the relevant section of the EntireX documentation.

Note:
Software AG has tested the Docker images with CentOS 7 as base image and is supporting this. You are free to choose any other Linux base image, but Software AG will fix only issues that are reproducible with the officially supported CentOS 7 base image.

Using Command Central

Command Central enables you to build the following product images using the Command Central Docker Builder:

  • EntireX Broker

  • RPC Server for Java

  • RPC Server for XML/SOAP

Instructions are provided centrally for all supported Software AG products under https://github.com/SoftwareAG/. To view the documentation you will first need to create a github account. The specific instruction and necessary files to build the EntireX images can be found in the corresponding subfolders of https://github.com/SoftwareAG/sagdevops-templates/tree/master/containers.
