About BPMN Process Steps
With the introduction of Software AG Designer 8.2 and later versions, the Process Development perspective includes a number of step types that support the BPMN model.

The Message Intermediate Event has input and output transitions. This is the distinction between it and our former notion of Intermediate Receive. Intermediate Receives with no input transition migrate to Receive Tasks.
