About Task Voting Strategies
Task types can be configured with two voting strategies for setting the vote threshold beyond which Task Engine updates the status of a votable task instance:
*Percentage - the minimum number of users to select the same status, calculated as a percentage from the total number of users. The default value is 51%. Task Engine calculates the percentage and rounds the result to ceiling.
*Fixed value - a minimum number of users, as an integer value. The default is 51.
Task assignees can be individual users, groups, or roles. Task Engine considers the number of individual users in the groups or roles when performing task vote calculations.
For example, if you apply the default configuration of the percentage strategy, which is 51%, to a list of assignees to the total of 30 users, Task Engine rounds the calculation to a minimum of 16 user votes required to update the task status to a particular option. For a list of 300 users, the threshold is 153.
You can modify the type of strategy or the threshold value only at design time.
