Viewing Usage Audit Logs
OneData usage audit logs track usage events of users, including for each user ID, the associated IP address, and log on and log out time. You can also use this option to obtain statistics on objects and users.
The Usage Events screen displays.
There are two options for viewing logs data, to view statistics or a complete report. The Show Statistics option displays a count for the types of criteria selected. The Show Detail option displays details about the OneData usage, including user ID, timestamp, event, object name, and IP address, sorted by the timestamp in descending order.
To generate the most comprehensive report click Set All Values for users and Show all objects for objects in the filter criteria.
*To view usage audit data
1. On the Menu toolbar, click Administer > Logs > Usage Audit.
OneData displays the Usage Audit Filter screen.
2. Select the filters to apply. You must select at least one object or user.
Note:
The filter is an and filter. If multiple criteria are selected in the filter, OneData searches for logs that meet all of the criteria specified. For example, if a date range and object are specified, the filter returns the logs that match both the criteria for the type of action (statement type).
a. In Date Range, enter a date in the From and To fields to narrow the results to logs executed between the specified dates.
b. In Users, click the Select Values icon to select users to add to the log search criteria. Click Set Values to add users in the filter. You can search for a user by entering a value in the Search field and clicking the Search Value icon or by pressing the Enter key. Click Close Window when done adding users to the filter.
c. In Objects, select the logs for one or more objects. To select multiple objects, press the Control key and click the objects to include. You must select at least one object.
Note:
To generate the most comprehensive report click Set All Values for users and Show all objects for objects in the filter criteria.
d. Click Show Statistics or Show Detail to display the logs.
3. Use the arrows above the columns to scroll through the results. Click the column heading to change the sort order.
*To export the results to Excel, click Export to Excel. Save the file or open the file directly in Excel.
*To apply a different filter, click Change Filter.
