Creating a Scratchpad Version
Scratchpad versions can ONLY be created by the first-level approvers from an Approved version. Each first-level approver can create a maximum of 2 scratchpad versions. Once this limit is reached, you will not have the option to create another Scratchpad version.
For example, Version 1 exists and has been Approved. A new Major Version (Version 2) has been created and submitted for approval by the first level approver. It is currently pending for approval at level 2 of the workflow pipeline. Level 1 approver needs to enter some records for the future. He can create a Scratchpad Version to store these records.
To create a scratchpad version
1. On the Menu toolbar, click Manage > Manage Data.
2. Filter on approved version and click Next.
3. Click Create Scratchpad Version.
