Data Consolidation
Consolidation offers the following features:
Cleansing. Offers connectivity to cleansing capabilities for data standardization actions, which include address cleansing, applying uniform usage of uppercase or lowercase in a name, formatting the tax ID, and splitting a phone number into country code and phone number. For address cleansing,
webMethods Locate is available and for cleansing other domain data, the cleansing rules can be implemented in
webMethods Integration Server or by connecting to domain specific cleansing software using the pluggable Data Quality architecture.
Matching. Offers connectivity to matcher software, such
webMethods OneData to detect duplicates. The unique record that is created, after the matching process is referred to as Gold record. Matching determines whether the cleansed and validated record matches an existing Gold record for linking or a new record must be created.
Survivorship. Offers a feature in a consolidation environment where the source system updates only the most relevant attributes of the Gold record from the consolidation records, based on a set of rules, including source-system priority.
