Using an Interchange Mapping in Data Manager
You can use the interchange mapping profile from Data Manager to manually import data into the object.
To use interchange mapping from data manager
1. On the Menu toolbar, click Manage > Manage Data and select the object into which you want to import data.
2. In the Filter screen, click Apply Filter to display all the values in the object.
3. On the Navigation toolbar, click Import > Data Object Import or Import > Conceptual Object Import, depending on the type of object.
4. Click Browse to select the input file.
For more information about the processing options, see the corresponding section in
Managing Interchange Mapping Profiles.
5. Click Import.
6. To view the data, click the shortcut on the Command toolbar, Go To Data Manager.
If you have configured your object with Data Load Identifier, you can filter for records added or modified in a single import by a unique identifier. For configured Conceptual objects that are imported, both the parent and the child include the same unique identifier. The SVC logs include the unique identifier as part of Data Load Identifier.
For details on how to configure a consolidation object for the unique identifier in the data importation process from external sources, see webMethods OneData Consolidation MDM Guide.
