Client Certificates and Port Configuration
In Integration Server, a client certificate is an X.509 digital certificate that identifies a client and is used for SSL authentication.
Following is a checklist that can be used for configuring client certificate authentication.

Configure Integration Server to use SSL. For more information, see Preparing to Configure SSL in Integration Server .

Import the signing certificates (trusted root certificate or certificate chain) for the client.
The trusted root certificate or certificate chain should be stored in the truststore and is required to authenticate the client. Place the files in a truststore to which Integration Server has access.

Configure the port to request or require client certificates. For more information, see Client Certificates and Port Configuration.

Import client certificates and map to a user.
Place client certificates in separate files to which Integration Server has access.
