Configuring Assignments in Resource Groups
Earlier, assignments were applied at the global level and those assignments were applicable for all the Resource Groups. You can now apply assignments at the Resource Group level, which enables you to apply assignments to each resource and operation in the selected Resource Group.
*To configure assignments in a Resource Group
1. On the left pane, double-click the Resource Group to open the Resource Group window. The following fields are available in the General section:
Field
Description
Name
Displays the name of the Resource Group.
Endpoint
Displays the endpoint URL to initiate communication with the SaaS provider.
Path
This represents the service path of the SaaS provider. By default, the path is empty. Type the service path only if the SaaS provider exposes the path. See the SaaS provider documentation available on the internet for information on the service path.
If a SaaS provider exposes multiple service paths, then you must create multiple Resource Groups.
References
Displays the existing reference path of the Resource Group.
Enable Cookies
Select this option to create an assignment type "Cookie". The cookie will store the JSESSIONID.
2. In the Configure Assignment section, click Add.
3. In the Add Assignment window, select the connection property and click Next.
4. In the Select Source window, assign a value. You can either hard code a specific value or assign a value of another variable by referencing the variable by selecting the Assign From option. In the Resource Groups section, select the Add assignments to other resource groups option and then select the required Resource Groups to apply the assignments to the selected Resource Groups. The Add assignments to other resource groups option is enabled only if you have multiple Resource Groups.
5. Click Finish.
The assignment will be applied to each resource or operation in the Resource Groups selected in the Resource Groups section. You can use the Up, Down, Top, or Bottom buttons to change the sequence. Assignments will be applied in the sequence they appear in the Configure Assignment pane.
