Promoting Custom Dashboards
You can export and import the assets (visualizations and dashboards) from external Kibana to API Gateway custom dashboard, and API Gateway custom dashboard to external Kibana. The export and import are possible between API Gateway instances.
Note:
You can import the assets created in Kibana 7.7.1 in to API Gateway.
1. Click > Analytics.
2. Click Custom Dashboard > Build.
A list of custom dashboards displays.
3. Click Management > Saved objects.
A list of saved objects appears.
4. Select the custom dashboard you want to export and click Export.
Select the option Include related objects export the related objects along with the custom dashboard. The dashboard is exported as a json file.
5. To import the custom dashboard do the following:

If you want to import the dashboard in a different API Gateway tenant, replace all the references of the tenant name in the exported json file with the target instance name where you are importing the dashboard before performing these steps.
a. Log on to the target API Gateway instance in which you want to import the custom dashboard.
b. Click > Analytics.
c. Click Custom dashboards > Build > Management > Saved objects.
A list of saved objects appears.
d. Click Import.
e. Select the exported json file that you want to import and upload the file.
Select Automatically overwrite all saved objects if you want to overwrite the existing one.
f. Click Import.
A message appears on successful import.
g. Click Done.
You can now see the imported dashboard in the saved object list.
6. Navigate to Custom dashboards > View.
7. Click Custom Dashboard > View.
You should now be able to view the imported custom dashboard.
