Configuring Survivorship Rules in OneData
In addition to system based and historical survivorship rules, you can set additional survivorship rules for the data returned from data quality server.
1. On the Menu toolbar, click Define > Data Quality > Consolidation > Project Mapping.
2. In Filter by Project, select the project and then click Project-Object Mapping.
3. In Filter by Staging Object, select the object and then click Matching Configuration.
4. Define the survivorship configuration:
Parameter | Description |
Survivorship Type | Indicates the type of survivorship rules to implement values: Default. Uses system based or historical survivorship rules. Manual. Does not execute survivorship rules and requires manual merging of records. Specify a user group to receive notifications as explained in Notifications. |
Integration Server Connection | For Survivorship Type webMethods only. Select the webMethods Integration Server connection to connect to webMethods. For information about creating Integration Server connections, see webMethods OneData User’s Guide. |
Service Folder | For Survivorship Type webMethods only. Specify the name of the folder within which the service (method) resides on webMethods Integration Server. |
Service Name | For Survivorship Type Integration Server only. Specify the name of the service (method) to be called. |
5. Click Save to save all survivorship configurations.
In the Consolidation (Staging) object, the column with Additional Column Qualifier, Merge Status Indicator, is set internally after executing the specified survivorship rule. The value is one of the following:
Merge Complete. When
Survivorship Type is Default /
Integration Server and the cleansing status is Create Gold or Link Gold. The reference value for the merge status is 1.
Manual Merge Pending. When
Survivorship Type is Manual. The column set with
Additional Column Qualifier, Data Quality Steward Group, is populated with the Data Quality Steward Group value given at notification configuration. The reference value for the merge status is 2.
Manual Match Pending. When the cleansing status is Cleansed. This occurs when the match is not identified automatically according to the user action. The column set with
Additional Column Qualifier, Data Quality Steward Group is populated with the Data Quality Steward Group value given at notification configuration. The reference value for the merge status is 3.
After executing the selected Survivorship rules, depending on the value of the column with the Additional Qualifier as Merge Status Indicator, the records are sent to the Data Quality Inbox of the specified recipient in case some manual action is required further to complete the process.
