Defining Project-Object Mapping Based on a Cleansing Project
Use the following procedure to associate the attributes from a cleansing project with the columns of one or more Consolidation and Gold objects in OneData.
1. On the Menu toolbar, click Define > Data Quality > Consolidation > Project Mapping.
2. In Filter by Project, select the data quality cleansing project with which you want to work.
3. On the Command toolbar, click Project-Object Mapping.
4. On the Command toolbar, click Add New Mapping.
5. Define the following mapping:
a. In Staging Object, select the staging object. Typically, the Consolidation or Gold object whose columns you want to map for data cleansing.
b. Map the object attributes as shown in this sample listing of Trillium cleansing project attributes that could be mapped.
Here, a Trillium cleansing project is used as an example.
Staging Object Attribute | Project Attribute |
BUSINESSNAME | BusinessName |
ADDRESSLINE | AddressLine |
POSTALCODE | PostalCode |
COUNTRY | Country |
C_BUSINESSNAME | dr_BusinessName |
C_ADDRESSLINE | dr_StreetAddress |
C_STATE | dr_State |
C_POSTALCODE | dr_PostalCode |
C_COUNTRY | dr_Country |
WINDOWKEY | dr_WindowKey |
c. For a Locate project, in Staging Field Status Attribute, select the field status (FS) attribute for the project.
This field enables the attribute OUTPUT to provide information on how the attribute was cleansed. For example, the attribute output could be fsIdentifiedNoChange, fsVerifiedSmallChange, fsIdentifiedContext, and so on.
d. Click Save Mapping after defining each attribute.
e. Repeat all the steps for defining attributes until you have defined all required attributes.
