For individual users, the contents of the Core Attributes Attribute Provider appears on the Profile page as the User Information panel. For users in the system directory service, some fields, such as the email address, are editable. To edit information in this panel, see Editing Information for a User.

For members of external directory services, this information is not editable, but it is available for the global wiring feature described in Wiring a Principal Attribute to a Portlet Property.
