When you install Module for EDI, the following custom attributes are added to Trading Networks. You can use these attributes as criteria when designing processing rules. The following table shows which attributes are stored for each document type (transmission, batch, and file).

Group CntrlNum Status
Transaction CntrlNum Status
These attributes indicate the control number validation status of documents, thus enabling child documents to know the validation status of their parent documents.
When validating document control numbers, Module for EDI sets this attribute to Valid, Duplicate, Out of Sequence, or Not Validated.
*For transmission documents, the module only sets the attribute Envelope CntrlNum Status.
*For batch documents, the module sets the following attributes:
*Envelope CntrlNum Status to indicate the status of the associated transmission document.
*Group CntrlNum Status To indicate the status of the associated batch document.
*For file documents, the module sets the following attributes:
*Envelope CntrlNum Status. Indicates the status of the associated transmission document.
*Group CntrlNum Status. Indicates the status of the associated batch document. the module might also set this attribute to Not Present.
*Transaction CntrlNum Status. Indicates the status of the associated transaction document.
