Dynamic vs. Non-Dynamic Cache Parameters
A cache has both dynamic and non-dynamic parameters. When you change a dynamic parameter using Integration Server Administrator, the change is applied to the cache immediately. You do not need to restart the Integration Server or reinitialize the cache manager to put the change into effect. When you change a non-dynamic parameter, the change does not take effect until you reinitialize the cache manager as described in Reinitializing a Cache Manager.
The parameter descriptions in Creating a Cache indicate which parameters are dynamic and which are not.
Note:
Apart from being dynamic or non-dynamic, the parameters for a distributed cache are also cache-wide or client-specific. For details about these qualities, see Cache-Wide and Client-Specific Parameters for a Distributed Cache.
