Editing a Flat File Schema
To edit a flat file schema, you must have the proper access permissions to do so and have locked the flat file schema. For information about access control lists (ACLs) see
Assigning and Managing Permissions for
Elements.
Editing a flat file dictionary is the same as editing a flat file schema except there is no Structure tab in the dictionary editor.
You can do the following:
Edit any element properties. To do so, make the necessary changes on the
Flat File Structure tab and then save the flat file schema. For a list of these settings and properties, see
Creating Flat File Schemas.
Rename existing elements. To do so, right–click the element, and then select
Rename.
Re–structure the elements. To rearrange the structure of your flat file schema, use the buttons at the top of the
Flat File Structure tab.
