Introduction to webMethods Integration Server Administrator
Integration Server Administrator provides access to all administrative tasks through a redesigned tab-based interface. The new interface is also the default, starting with version 10.11. When you start Integration Server Administrator, your browser displays the Dashboard page. The navigation panel on the left-side of the page displays the menus that group related components and settings needed to administer Integration Server.
The top-navigation bar provides quick access to:
*Notifications: System notifications that provide visibility into events inside Integration Server and help you act on business-critical events. For example, you will receive notifications for events such as certificate expiry, configuration changes that require a server restart, and so on. Currently, you can read notifications, dismiss them one by one or all together, and subscribe or unsubscribe notifications.
*Server control: Tasks such as entering or exiting quiesce mode, and shutting down or restarting the server.
*Help: Online help and the About page of the product. You can obtain information about a page on Integration Server Administrator by clicking the Help icon on that page. The help system provides a description of the configuration and data on every page.
*Profile: Locale settings of the current user and the Log out option. You can modify the locale settings or restore them to defaults. You can log out from Integration Server Administrator when you no longer need to continue your current session. When you log out, the server cleans up your session and clears the cache in the browser.
Monitoring: The Monitoring tab allows you to monitor flow services and coded services such as Java services. You can monitor documents published or subscribed by webMethods Broker clients, documents that are in doubt, that have failed, or that have exhausted trigger retries. You can also get the error details for services and documents. Furthermore, you can edit service pipelines and documents and resubmit them.
To ensure peak performance of service monitoring, you can archive or delete the monitored data for past periods. For more information, see Service Monitoring in Integration Server Guide.
Note:
Monitoring is suspended when you disable monitoring in Quiesce settings and then quiesce the server.
Common Directory Services: You can access the Common Directory Services (CDS) from the left-side navigation in the Administration tab. CDS provides a unified mechanism to connect to different user directories and manage users, groups, and roles, together with the users' access to webMethods resources. For more information, see the PDF publication "Managing Users with Common Directory Services".
Note:
To enable access to Common Directory Services in Integration Server Administrator, select the Common Directory Server Support and Central User Management components as part of the Integration Server installation. You must also configure the database connection either during or after the installation. For more information, see the Installing Software AG Products On Premises guide.
