Defining a Pattern
Use the following procedure to define a score for pattern matchings.
*To set the pattern and hint for a score
1. On the Menu toolbar, click Define > Data Quality > Consolidation > Project Mapping.
2. In Filter by Project, select the Matcher Project.
3. Click Project-Matching Hint Mapping.
4. Select Add Mapping and add the following details:

Parameter
Description
Score
Enter a value between 0 and 100. This value represents the similarity between the staging and gold records. The higher the score, better the match.
Pattern
Select the appropriate pattern:
*MASTER
*DETAIL
*BOTH. Select BOTH as the preferred pattern for the reason explained in the actions for the matching thresholds in Configuring the Matching Threshold.
Note:
If you execute Manual Matching without specifying the pattern, the consolidation process results in an error indicating the score.
Hint
Enter a description of how the rule matches the record.
