Data Cleansing Issues
Data not cleansed or cleansed incorrectly
The following table lists the possible causes and their respective resolution.
Possible Causes
Resolution
webMethods Locate license file license.lfs , is not present in the specified location.
Download the datasets for webMethods Locate from Empower and extract to the Locate\data directory . The license file gets extracted to the mentioned directory.
webMethods Locate DataSets are unavailable or incorrectly extracted.
Download the datasets for webMethods Locate from Empower and extract to the Locate\data directory.
Incorrect Data Quality Project-Object Mappings
While adding a new mapping in the Project Object Mapping screen, the project attributes that are listed are prefixed with an IN or OUT. The IN attributes refer to the uncleansed data that forms the input to webMethods Locate. The OUT attributes refer to the cleansed data which is returned by webMethods Locate. Ensure that the relevant IN-OUT attributes are mapped correctly to the corresponding columns in the Consolidation object or Consolidation Gold object . For example, the IN_Country attribute in webMethods Locate is mapped to a column in these tables that contains the Country Codes that are passed as input to the cleansing process. Similar steps should be followed when using cleansing servers, other than webMethods Locate.
Additionally, the WindowKey attribute, which is required for the matching process to control the number of match candidate record, is computed from the mapped attributes such as Locality, PostalCode, Address1, Address2 and so on, when using webMethods Locate. Therefore, if the IN-OUT attributes are mapped incorrectly, the WindowKey too is generated incorrectly.
Did not provide the minimum information required for cleansing server. For all cleansing servers, it is mandatory to specify the country attribute as an input. For example, inwebMethods Locate this attribute is called In_Country and it the value must be a country code or name. If you do not provide a country code, the you must at least provide other important combination of attributes such as, street address, city , and state or street address and postal code for the cleanser to process the record correctly.
Specify the minimum level of input data for the cleanser to process the record correctly.
Outbound Attributes ( the cleansed attributes returned by the cleansing servers) are incorrectly mapped to the corresponding columns in the Consolidation object or Consolidation Gold object through the Project-Object Mapping.
Validate that the mappings are correct in the Project-Object Mapping of the corresponding data quality cleanser project.
Error Message "Document type missing" when using webMethods cleanser
Resolution
Map the attributes defined in the specification.
